2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Synchronize your favorites and saved content across devices

- Send you product and marketing email about Textual Chef (for example feature announcements, recipe highlights, and offers). Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops marketing email immediately. Service and billing messages (verification, receipts, trial-ending reminders) are sent regardless of marketing preferences because they are part of operating your account. We use Resend as our email delivery provider; your email address is shared with them solely to deliver our messages.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share the information we collect in the following circumstances:
3.1 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf, including:
- Payment Processors: We use Stripe for web and Apple payment processing, and Google Play for Android payment processing. These services collect payment information directly to process your transactions. We do not store your full payment information on our servers.
- Authentication Services: We use Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts and authentication.
- Cloud Storage: We use Firebase to store and synchronize your app data.
3.2 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

- Apple App Store settings for iOS subscriptions
- Google Play Store settings for Android subscriptions
- Your account settings on our website for web subscriptions
5.3 Data Access and Portability
You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to request that we correct, update, or delete it. You may also request a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

We take reasonable measures to help protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems 100%.

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.
